What this policy covers
This policy describes data handling on Points & Status, a Janders Inc. website. It covers browser-based tools, optional account and cloud features, Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics analytics, affiliate-link measurement when enabled, and information you voluntarily submit through connected services.
Points & Status does not ask for or need your full credit-card numbers, online-banking credentials, loyalty-program passwords, or payment-account passwords to use its planning tools.
Data stored on your device
Many Points & Status features use browser storage so your cards, rewards balances, benefit usage, trip plans, reminders and preferences can remain on the device you use. This data stays in your browser unless you export it, clear it, or choose an optional cloud-sync feature.
Clearing browser storage, using a different browser profile, or changing devices can remove or separate locally stored information. Use the available backup/export tools if you want a portable copy.
Optional accounts and cloud features
Some account, synchronization, newsletter or administrative features may use third-party infrastructure when those features are enabled. The site is designed so core public content and many planning tools can still work without an account. When an optional cloud service is enabled, the interface will identify the feature and the data you choose to save or submit.
Optional analytics: Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics
Points & Status uses optional analytics only after you choose Allow analytics. If you decline, the Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics scripts are not loaded on later page views unless you change your choice. Your preference is stored locally in your browser.
Microsoft Clarity
With your permission, Microsoft Clarity helps us understand how visitors interact with the site and improve usability. Clarity can measure interaction events such as clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, page layout, browser-window changes, performance events and errors, and it can provide heatmaps and session-replay style analytics.
Clarity masks sensitive content by default. Input-box contents are masked, and masked content is not uploaded to Clarity. We do not intentionally use Clarity to collect payment-card numbers, banking credentials, loyalty-program passwords or other account passwords.
If you allow analytics, Clarity may use first-party and third-party cookies or pseudonymous identifiers to associate page views and sessions. Points & Status tells Clarity that advertising storage is denied; the integration is used for site analytics, not to enable Microsoft advertising storage.
Google Analytics 4
With your permission, Points & Status uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand site traffic and engagement. GA4 can measure page views, traffic/referral sources, device and browser information, general engagement, and Enhanced Measurement events such as scrolling and outbound-link clicks.
Points & Status uses a basic consent approach for GA4: the Google Analytics tag is blocked until you allow analytics. Our implementation keeps Google advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalization consent denied, and it does not enable Google Signals or advertising-personalization signals through the site integration.
Google and Microsoft process analytics data under their own terms and privacy documentation. Analytics data is used to improve Points & Status, understand which content and tools are useful, diagnose usability issues and measure general site performance.
You can return to this section at any time to change your analytics preference. Declining analytics after previously allowing it causes Points & Status to remove accessible first-party analytics cookies and stop loading analytics on subsequent page views.
Cookies and similar storage
Points & Status uses browser storage for functional features such as saved plans, preferences and workspace data. Optional Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics cookies or similar identifiers are used only when analytics is allowed. Third-party services you choose to visit may use their own cookies under their own policies.
Affiliate and external links
Some pages may contain compensated or affiliate links when those relationships are enabled. Compensation does not determine calculator results, rankings or editorial recommendations. When click measurement is enabled, Points & Status is designed to record offer, placement and page context rather than sending your wallet balances, benefit usage, loyalty balances, certificates or trip details to advertisers.
External websites have their own privacy practices. Review the provider’s terms and privacy policy before submitting personal or financial information.
Age and children
Points & Status is intended for adults researching travel rewards and financial products and is not directed to children under 18.
Your choices
You can decline optional analytics, clear locally stored site data through your browser, export local workspace information before clearing it, and avoid optional cloud or newsletter features. If account features are enabled, additional controls may be available within the account interface.
